March 2017
It is with deep regret that we have to advise that after 50 years, British Showjumping has removed with immediate effect Yateley’s affiliation to the society. To this end, all British Showjumping competitions that were scheduled for 2017 have been cancelled by British Showjumping.
John would like to thank everybody who has supported him throughout the years, Riders, owners, trainers, and supporters, volunteer’s, officials and everybody else outside of ...these categories. Special thanks go to the “Families” Those Grandparents who in the past competed themselves and then watched their children and grandchildren compete. This does not happen at many venues. We believe that as a consequence of this parting of the ways, BS currently no longer has a grass venue in Hampshire.
There will be some BS Competitors that will inconvenienced by this in their pursuance of the various qualifiers Yateley held, especially the National Amateurs. We hope that other local centres will fill the void and shortage of Category One Shows. We would also like to take this opportunity in wishing all the BS Riders all the very best in their future competitions.
This however, does not have to be the end.
John is happy to run unaffiliated shows starting at Cross Poles and going up to 1.00m on the 1st Sunday of each month, from May until September (Exact days and schedule to be confirmed). We would also remind you about the unaffiliated show already scheduled for the 9th April (See the website for details about this show) Both the FB page and website will be updated over the next few days with all these changes.
John is also happy to hire out the arena and jumps by arrangement. For details and availability, please contact John direct by phone. Regretfully, we cannot organize this through FB or the website.
We hope you will continue to support John and Yateley Horse Shows as we enter this new Chapter in the venues history.
Thanks again to each and every one of you for all your support.
